Pursuant to the provisions of Article 17 of our 2018 Memorandum of Agreement and in accordance with Article 16 in reference to the Kansas Employer Employee Relations Act re 75-4327 (g), this is your written notification that it is the intention of the Graduate Teaching Assistants Coalition, AFT Local 6403 to enter into negotiations for the purpose of modifying and amending our employment contract with the University of Kansas.
We have included a statement of existing and new articles to be addressed; please note that any article reference with no listed sections should be interpreted as the opening of any and all sections. As is our usual practice, we would also like to discuss updating some language throughout to clarify and reflect changes within the structure of the University and its Department of Human Resources Management and to arrange the articles of this Memorandum to best suit any changes to which we agree during this process.
We would like to propose a first meeting date of Thursday, April 23rd from 1:00pm to 4:00pm at the Lawrence Public Library in Meeting Room B.
